Reflective Statement

At the beginning of my first term, I wasn't keen on the idea of blogging about my work but I've now reached the end of Unit 1 and I've realised exactly why people do it. I can now document my work and see my ideas develop and improve week by week. It is also a way of sharing your ideas with other bloggers, as well as reading other students or designers blogs to help gather inspiration and possibly further your ideas. It has helped me recognize weaknesses within my work when looking back at past posts, which then makes me think of ways to improve my work. I think I have selected good visual material and photography on my blog, however I think I could have evaluated my work more in specific posts suggesting ways to improve it and actually document it. I like to think that my blog has somehow made me more organised with my work as I now leave myself time in the week to blog about my work/workshops/tasks that I've done. I plan to continue blogging for the rest of my time at Chelsea, sharing my ideas and my progress throughout my BA course.
